Home of the Bulldogs!

San Jose High Academy (SJHA) offers a unique high school experience.  With enrollment below 950, we offer a personalized education through both the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes, as well as our Pre-Engineering Program.  Students join clubs, sports, and our robotics, mock trial, and speech and debate academic teams knowing they will participate.  There are no sidelines at San Jose High Academy, and with partnerships with area colleges, universities, and multinational corporations, we bring unprecedented support and services to our students. That we are just one of 122 schools world-wide to offer a full, comprehensive 4-year International Baccalaureate course of study is further evidence of our truly unique place in education.  We are the last stop in the San Jose IB Continuum, completing a 12-year course of internationally recognized study through our IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is offered in partnership with middle school Burnett Academy and includes grades 6-10.  SJHA completes the program in grades 9 and 10, and provide the framework of knowledge, understanding, attitudes, and skills necessary for the IB Diploma Program.  The Middle Years Program culminates with the Personal Project, a semester-long investigation into a topic the student chooses and presents to a panel of judges.  Read more.

The Diploma Programme (DP) is a course of study beginning in grade 11 and continues through graduation.  The IB Programme assessments are rigorous and scored by committee in Geneva, Switzerland, making the Diploma recognized throughout the world as the standard for excellence in education.  The IB Diploma is a qualification  widely recognized by the world's leading universities.  Read more.
